Louisiana Hospital Supply started as the brainchild of Yancy Guerin. Yancy lived his dream racing the motocross circuit early in his teens. Later after a stint at a technical college Yancy began working on bicycles, ATVs and motorcycles. He opened his own bicycle shop in the 80's. Yancy moved on from fixing bicycles to tinkering with medical equipment he picked up from a hospital that was disposing of retired equipment. He fixed a few of the pieces and began selling the equipment out of the trunk of his car. Eventually, the business grew big enough to transfer the medical equipment from the trunk to a storage building. After out growing warehouse after warehouse, LHS finally found a home on Main St. in Plaquemine, Louisiana, Yancy's hometown. The business has far reached the small town of Plaquemine to states such as Texas, Alabama, Indiana, Florida and even on to countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and the Middle East. From small town to worldwide, Louisiana Hospital Supply has built strong business relationships with integrity and honesty.
Yancy also is the chief investigator at the West Baton Rouge Coroner's office. Yancy relies on Chris Jones to oversee day to day operations of Louisiana Hospital Supply. Chris has been an entrusted employee of Louisiana Hospital Supply since 2001.
Yancy has been happily married to his wife Jaye for over twenty-five years. He is father to two children, Jayce and Kristi. When he is not working, Yancy likes to go camping, travel, and spend time with his family.
